Project Brief

Upper Myagdi-1 Hydropower Project (UM-1 HPP, 53.5 MW) is being developed by Upper Myagdi Hydropower Limited in Myagdi District, Gandaki Province, Nepal. Strategically located across Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality and Malika Rural Municipality, the project harnesses the hydropower potential of the Myagdi River to generate clean, reliable, and sustainable electricity. As a run-of-river hydropower project, UM-1 HPP is designed to contribute to Nepal’s growing energy demand while supporting the country’s transition towards renewable energy and sustainable
development.
